The Razia Mahsood Development Foundation (RMDF), in collaboration with the District Administration and District Youth Office, South Waziristan Upper, organized a Mental Health Awareness Seminar on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, observed on 10 October 2026.
The seminar aimed to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma associated with psychological challenges, and encourage a supportive environment where individuals can openly discuss their emotional and psychological well-being.
The event featured an awareness session highlighting the importance of mental health, certificate distribution among participants, and recognition of the contributions of the event’s mentors, Savera Naeem (Psychologist) and Malik Junaid Sewag.
The mentors contributed to the seminar’s central message of promoting mental well-being, encouraging positive attitudes towards mental health, and emphasizing the importance of understanding, empathy, and appropriate support for individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges.
The initiative highlighted the importance of collaboration between civil society organizations and public institutions in strengthening community awareness and promoting healthier, more resilient communities, particularly among young people.
